From the Forum Index (where you start when you first log in):

1. Click on the forum that you would like to post to. (ex. Family News)

2. Click on the button on the top or bottom of the page that says New Post.

3. Once the form opens the first text box is the subject. This is an important field because it lets everyone know what you will be talking about.

4. Next is a group of icons. If you choose one it will be displayed next to the subject in the forum view. This is not really an important selection it just gives another option when creating a new post.

5. Next is the message body this is where you will put the text of your post. You can also add any of the emoticons simply by clicking on them.

6. The rest of the options are not necessary, so don't even worry about them untill you are familliar with posting on the site.
